NOTE:   This position is for our forthcoming long-term federal project.  Please review the requirements carefully.  This is a full-time employment opportunity. The candidate MUST be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete/pass/hold at a minimum a Public Trust background investigation. Project location Honolulu HI. 

Daily Responsibilities
  • Provide support for Linux server and workstation infrastructure.
  • Lead enterprise Red Hat Linux configurations for the enterprise.
  • Develop annual systems hardware, software, and license requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any system failures and performance or security issues.
  • Integrate Linux systems into Microsoft Window Active Directory infrastructure.
  • Bridge Active Directory users to Linux systems and ensure the capability of Common Access Cards (CAC) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) logins to Linux systems.
  • Perform data backup and recovery.
  • Provide documentation of system changes and updates.
  • Apply and maintain current Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) configurations on all Linux computers.

Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (As mandated by our government client).
  • Must be able to complete/pass/hold at minimum a Public Trust background investigation.
  • Must be local to the Honolulu HI area, no convenience travel. May consider relocation package for the ideal candidate.
  • Preference given to candidates with past federal and/or DoD experience.
  • Must be able to obtain or have an active US Passport prior to start date.
  • Flexible to travel as required (10%) (Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa).
  • 5+ years’ experience in Linux Administration.
  • Experience supporting and securing Red Hat Linux environments.
  • Experience with Red Hat migration and updates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification or equivalent is a PLUS.
