Job Summary: BCA is seeking a Construction Inspector to assist with various construction projects. The Construction Inspector reports to the Project Manager but also takes direction from the head Architect/Civil Engineer. This position is responsible for assisting the on-site Project Manager with ongoing construction observation and documentation of construction practices. The Construction Inspector will work closely with the on-site, other site inspectors, department heads, and Project Managers performing basic construction inspection and daily reporting.


Reports To: Project Manager


Essential Functions:

  • Assist the project needs by observing, measuring, and reporting daily construction operations.
  • Research NYSDOT standards and specs for construction compliance.
  • Complete Daily Inspection Reports.
  • Maintain files and records, copying, and scanning.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to interface with team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A valid NYS Driver’s License with reliable transportation is required.


Pay range:

  • $30.00 to $40.00 per / hour
