Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking to hire a housekeeping manager to join our growing team The right candidate will have a flexible schedule and have great attention to detail.  Responsibilities: 

  • To establish a high degree of excellence in the Housekeeping Department to include all assigned areas of the Hotel.

  • The Housekeeping Manager will operate the Housekeeping Department and all other areas of responsibility. 

  • Work closely with and maintain a high degree of excellence and communication with other departments. 

  • Be specifically responsible for the standards of all Guest rooms, suites, corridors, back-of-the-house storage and linen rooms. 

  • Ensure all Supervisors continually inspect assigned areas and have turned in inspections. 

  • Ensure all reports are prepared completely and on time.

  • Ensure effective and complete training is in use and all associates are well trained. 

  • Ensure proper key controls are in effect. 

  • Take accurate linen inventories per SOP. 

  • Take an accurate Guest supply inventory every period. 

  • Ensure all reports are prepared completely and on time. 

  • Review operating statements and critique unusual surpluses and shortages. 

  • Ensure that proper key controls are in effect. 

  • Immediate response to all guest problems and guest correspondence pertaining to the Housekeeping Department. 

  • Ensure that lost and found articles are stored properly and correct logs are maintained. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications:

  • Must possess strong computer skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills. 

  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays. 

  • The position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively deal with department heads, guests, and team members.

  • One year of hotel experience is preferred but not necessary.
