Wastequip WRX – our Equipment Service Division (www.wastequipwrx.com) - is seeking Mechanics who want to level up their career.

Summary of essential job functions
• Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components
• Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
• Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
• Increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Ability to lift 50lbs plus, bend, stoop, kneel and climb ladders.
• Above all, must be able to work closely with co-workers or other team members.
• Looking for the right individuals that show integrity, in self and in their work.

Minimum requirements
• 1 year of Truck or Heavy Equipment mechanic diagnosis (maintenance) experience is required.
• 1 year of 12/24 volt electrical experience is required.
• Ability to understand hydraulic and electrical schematics is required.
• 1 Year Fabrication Experience is preferred.
• 1 Year Welding experience preferred.
• ASE certification is preferred.
• Waste collection equipment knowledge will be a large plus for this position.

Required License or Certification:

  • Have a DOT (non-CDL) medical card or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • CDL preferred but not required.
