Job Summary: As the Channel Manager for the Dealer/Buy Group at Walther Arms Inc., you'll play a pivotal role in executing our sales strategies and expanding market presence within these channels. Your responsibilities will include fostering strong business relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and overseeing customer management. This role exclusively focuses on the Dealer/Buy Group Channel, ensuring targeted efforts and maximum impact.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute Walther Arms Inc. sales strategy to achieve sales targets, revenue growth, and market expansion in the Dealer and Buy Group channels.
  • Collaborate in planning and executing all business development activities related to customers, including developing specific account plans, forecasts, and revenue goals.
  • Identify and screen business opportunities, leveraging relationships to increase Walther Arms Inc. product sales.
  • Travel to trade shows, consumer shows, and outdoor retailers to efficiently expand Walther Arms Inc.'s market share.
  • Manage the Walther Arms Inc. Top 50 Dealer Program, fostering relationships directly from Walther through weekly calls, supporting in-store events, and conducting necessary training events.
  • Develop training materials for dealers and sales teams, assisting in planning and execution of training.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop marketing and advertising strategies.
  • Coordinate allocations and order activity to ensure timely deliveries and high levels of customer service.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to ensure efficient sales support and program administration, maintaining customer goodwill.
  • Lead, motivate, train, and evaluate sales rep agencies.
  • Provide feedback from the field on current and new products, competitive information, and rep agency performance assessments.

Qualifications, Educational Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or more than 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, as well as to effectively respond to inquiries or complaints and deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Proficiency in mathematical concepts and their practical applications.
  • Strong reasoning ability with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to execute strategic efforts quickly and maintain the trust of departmental employees.
  • Significant multi-channel environment sales experience.
  • Vast gun experience with in-depth knowledge of the shooting sports business.
  • Proficiency in Walther Arms product knowledge.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft products.
  • Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer focus with excellent negotiation and public relations skills.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
