  • Works in a molecular biology laboratory setting and executes experiments daily within a team
  • Performs detail-oriented experiments using next-generation sequencing and qPCR technologies
  • Performs data analysis, prepares presentations, and presents results to the team at group meetings
  • Maintains a laboratory notebook and adheres to strict protocol guidelines
  • Pays excellent attention to detail and can follow complex molecular biology protocols

  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of working collaboratively with a team
  • Detail-oriented and can follow complex molecular biology protocols
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
Key Knowledge:
  • Molecular Biology
  • Fundamental laboratory knowledge
  • PCR and next-generation sequencing knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Education and Experience:
  • B.S. with at least 3 years of experience in an academic or industrial laboratory or M.S. with 2 years of experience in an academic or industrial laboratory
  • Hands-on experience in a molecular biology laboratory: DNA and RNA purification and quantitation, PCR, quantitative PCR
  • Ideal candidates will also have experience working in a clean room or PCR preparation hood, making libraries for, or performing next-generation sequencing
  • Experience in IVD product development, clinical genetic testing, or core laboratory facility is a plus
  • Be tolerant of change, ready to take on new challenges, and open to learning new skills.
