Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role offers the unique opportunity to engage in a broad range of accounting projects for a company that is in growth mode with several recent acquisitions and more in the pipeline.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency within our fast-paced environment and be willing to embrace our core values of Spirit, Courage, Own it, Respect, and Excellence (SCORE).


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare period-end accruals and journal entries (13 period accounting experience a plus).
  • Own It by consistently handling sales & use tax monthly filing for 6+ states.
  • Bank reconciliations and cash management.
  • Manage accounts receivables and customer deposits.
  • Oversight of inventory management and margin analysis.
  • Workpaper preparation and external audit readiness, this is a great opportunity to show your Excellence.
  • General Ledger management and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Compiling financial statements and performing variance analytics.
  • Heavy involvement with budgets and reforecasting, partnering with Department leaders.
  • Assist with financial and tax audits.
  • Fixed Asset and depreciation management.
  • Show Courage in assisting with developing and improving accounting policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with fellow accounting team members on other special projects and system implementations and treating them with Respect.
  • In-venue audits as needed.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience.
  • Show Excellence with strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail with exceptional analytical skills.
  • Proven process improvement initiative and execution.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and project deadlines. Own It.
  • Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment while showing Respect.
  • Comfortable working remotely and staying virtually connected with teammates.

Preferred Qualification Experience:

  • using accounting software and database systems.
  • in the hospitality or food service industry.
  • with system changes/implementation a plus (ERP, POS, AP tools, etc.).
  • with acquisitions (travel may be required).
