Responsibilities:

  • The Treatment Coordinator is the contact person between patients and our office. They should consistently make a good impression and extend a warm welcome to new patients and their families. This person should exhibit exemplary team spirit and enthusiasm for the practice.
  • The Treatment Coordinator is responsible for the smooth and organized operation of the front office.
  • The Treatment Coordinator performs new patient examinations and consultations with the doctor and makes case presentations.
  • Professional dress, grooming, hairstyle, and makeup are appropriate attire for this position.

Duties of the Job:

  • Oversee all front office duties.
  • Maintain organized and immaculate front office.
  • Run birthday and appointment recall systems.
  • Responsible for office correspondence, statistics, and reports.
  • The Treatment Coordinator performs new patient examinations and consultations with the doctor, makes case presentations, presents payment options and finalizes the treatment contract with new patients. Often, this involves investigating insurance benefits available to the patient and educating the patient as to how insurance coverage applies to orthodontics.
  • Educate patient and family re: diagnosis, treatment plan, and benefits of treatment.
  • Communicate with other dental offices regarding exam findings, treatment progress, etc.
  • Perform office public relations activities.
