In this role, you will be responsible for designing and preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various civil/structural projects essential to expanding, modifying, or constructing new facilities across the United States. Your duties will encompass providing project and onsite construction management to ensure project requirements are met, along with directing and providing engineering guidance to staff engineers, technicians, and others as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop designs, specifications, and cost estimates for civil/structural projects, including facility and heavy industrial equipment foundation structural design.
  • Provide project and onsite construction management to ensure project requirements are achieved.
  • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of current industrial facility construction practices and technical understanding of structural analysis/design in steel, concrete, and wood.
  • Demonstrate highly skilled competencies in technical written communications, oral presentations, customer interactions, teamwork collaborations, and leadership.
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • In-depth working knowledge of heavy industrial facility construction practices
  • Comprehensive technical understanding of design applications for structural analysis/design in steel, concrete, and wood
  • Proficiency in project/construction management and AutoCAD
  • Physical fitness to work in confined spaces and in a demanding environment (Paper Mill), including climbing ladders and working at heights.
Must-Haves:
  • must have a minimum of 15 years’ experience
  • must have project management experience
  • must have industrial structural engineering experience
  • must sit in Hartsville or relocate to Hartsville
  • must have design experience
