Job Title: Human Resource Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resource Specialist to
join our team of community advocates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
executing various HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, employee
relations, benefits administration, and compliance management. The Human Resource
Specialist will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring HR
policies and procedures are consistently applied, and supporting the organization's
overall success.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
● Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings,
candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
● Coordinate new hire orientations and ensure a seamless onboarding
experience for new employees.
Employee Relations:
● Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict
resolution.
● Conduct investigations into employee relations issues and recommend
appropriate actions in accordance with company policies and legal
regulations.
Benefits Administration:
● Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance,
retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
● Communicate benefits information to employees and assist with open
enrollment processes.
HR Compliance:
● Stay informed about changes in labor laws and employment regulations to
ensure company compliance.
● Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and
procedures.
Performance Management:
● Support the performance appraisal process by guiding managers and
employees, and tracking performance reviews.
Data Management:
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
● Generate HR reports as needed for management and compliance
purposes.
Training and Development:
● Identify training needs within the organization and coordinate training
programs.
● Facilitate employee development initiatives to enhance skills and
competencies.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related
field.
● Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role.
● Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with
discretion.
● Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
● Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems.
Additional Requirements:
● HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
● Experience in a non-profit environment.
● Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently.
