Informational Technology (IT) Support

Full-time/ Non-Exempt – $24 - $28/ hour

COMMUNITY PROFILE

Sun City Anthem (SCA) is a Del Webb developed community located in Henderson, Nevada, the second largest city in Nevada, with a population of nearly 330,000 residents. Developed in 1998, the beautiful and expansive 55+ active adult community covers 3,500 acres with 7,144 homes. SCA is home to approximately 12,500 total residents.

The community is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors who typically serve two-year terms. SCA amenities and facilities include three clubhouses with 130,000 square feet of recreational space including three indoor swimming pools, two outdoor pools, tennis courts, pickle ball, bocce, a 300-seat performing arts theatre, fitness centers, group exercise rooms, privately owned and operated day spa, and a grand ballroom.

SCA has nearly 60 chartered clubs and maintains a Community Patrol, a Community Service Group, a Neighborhood Watch Program, and an Emergency Preparedness Service Group.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a full-time non-exempt position reporting directly to the IT Manager. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Informational Technology (IT) Department including, but not limited to, network configuration, OS administration and general troubleshooting of all aspects of IT. This position provides technical support and assistance, whether on the phone, in person, or remotely, related to computer systems, hardware and software. The incumbent shall also respond to all queries to provide technical assistance.

SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • A strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software
  • Must have excellent problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.
  • Must have an openness to learning new technologies.
  • Must be detail oriented and can multi-task.
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to speak in a clear and understandable voice so that communication may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities.
  • Must have basic working knowledge of computer and other office equipment, i.e., fax, multi-lined phone system, walkie-talkie, and copier.
  • Ability to stand to greet members and guests for extended periods of time.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented and have good reasoning skills.
  • Skilled in maintaining an efficient cheerful and professional attitude while dealing with people in volatile and sensitive situations.
  • Must be skilled in the use of Word for Windows, internet search functions, and e-mail.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Respond to Helpdesk/Incident tickets accordingly.
  • Manage Mass Storage Management for Enterprise environment.
  • Provide detailed proactive document creation and maintenance.
  • Assist in changes to the environment following pre-approved processes.
  • Assist in support of the network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot System and Network Account issues.
  • Respond to network monitoring alerts.
  • Troubleshoot remote access issues.
  • Ensure service availability through diagnostic tool use.
  • Test local applications and OS after updates and prior to deploying.
  • Provide asset management tracking and onsite reports for internal review.
  • Conduct and/or attend meetings with the client as required.
  • Participate and complete projects correctly and on time.
  • Communicate to Ownership as necessary detailed information pertinent to Operations.
  • Perform other duties and projects as required by the IT Manager, IT Director, and General Manager/COO.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have manual dexterity required for use of typing, writing, answering phone and other basic fitness center operations.
  • Ability to utilize necessary equipment such as computer, telephone, POS system, copier, printer, scanner, and fax.
  • Ability to walk inside, outside, and upstairs without assistance.
  • Agility to quickly respond to emergency situations throughout the facility.
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, push, shove, lift, carry and move objects that can weigh up to twenty-five pounds.
  • Ability to exchange and receive information through oral communications and to make discriminations sound.
  • Ability to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing with or without corrective lenses.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position will primarily work indoors in a controlled climate with proper lighting and at times in an outdoor setting with variable climate and lighting.

EQUIPMENT USED

Computer, printer, mouse, copier, fax, scanner, POS system, scanner, cash register, multi-line telephone/voice mail, digital camera, walkie-talkie, and VMS

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years of IT experience/ Help Desk experience.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Help Desk, Basic Networking (Cisco routers/switches)
  • Homeowner Association experience preferred.
