Job Description

Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Contract specialist to support our team. The ideal person will assist with collecting and organizing information required for preparation of documents, training materials, proposals, and reports. Contract negotiations as well as the managing of multiple projects will be expected. This specialist will also maintain a system of gathering information to update our inventory and service records. 

Duties 

  • Oversee and manage all active contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and addressing issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement acquisition strategies, evaluate bids and proposals for compliance and project alignment.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors for company events and products, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Collaborate with management to establish and enforce budget policies, aligning contracting activities with financial plans.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends.
  • Provide guidance in developing performance work statements and specification documents, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications 
Required Education and Experience: 
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in contract management or a related field
  • Prior experience in government contracting, proposal preparation, and data calls response
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand pricing and bill rates.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen for this role. 
Working Environment
  • Hybrid (onsite/offsite)
