We are seeking a skilled and experienced contractor translator to provide real-time translation services for Spanish-speaking customers interacting with our organization. The ideal candidate will be a native or bilingual Spanish speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. This is a contract position with the potential for ongoing work based on performance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely translation of spoken Spanish to English during customer interactions.
  • Interpret conversations between Spanish-speaking customers and English-speaking staff, such as Office Associates, therapists, and customer service representatives.
  • Translate written materials as needed, such as intake forms, correspondence, or marketing materials.
  • Participate in outreach events, providing on-site translation services to Spanish-speaking attendees.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and adhere to HIPAA regulations (if applicable).

 

Qualifications:

  • Native or bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in customer service or healthcare settings is preferred.
