Who We Are

Our mission is to strengthen Alaska communities and improve the lives of our clients by delivering exceptional behavioral healthcare services. About the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Alaska Behavioral Health

The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Alaska Behavioral Health provides high-quality mental healthcare services accessible to post-9/11 veterans including National Guard and Reserves, active-duty service members, and their families, including spouse or partner, children, parents, siblings, caregivers, and others. With a multidisciplinary team of licensed clinicians, prescribers, case managers, intake coordinators, and outreach workers, the clinic operates an outpatient, targeted treatment model with an emphasis on evidence-based practices and measurement-based care. The Cohen Clinic is part of the Cohen Veterans Network, a national nonprofit (501c3) network of clinics. Our offices are located in Anchorage and Fairbanks.

The CVN Fellow Program

CVN is proud to support early-career, provisionally licensed clinicians in their path towards independent clinical licensure through the CVN Fellows Program. The CVN Fellows program provides funding for select CVN clinics to hire and host recently graduated or early career masters-level clinicians as they accumulate clinical hours towards independent licensure. CVN Fellows will operate as clinicians-under-supervision and will receive thorough clinical training and supervision as they build up to and sustain a full therapy caseload. CVN Fellows are salaried full-time employees of Alaska Behavioral Health. The CVN Fellows program is intended to serve as a pipeline for promising and dedicated provisionally licensed clinicians to become well-trained, capable, and confident independently licensed clinicians.
