Basic Purpose and Scope:

The Formulation Coordinator coordinates activities of the formulation area to obtain optimum efficiency, gallons per hour and quality products

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform all job duties and operations in a safe manner, while following all federal, state, and Litehouse regulations and policies - Always
  2. Drive and lead formulation team to improve daily formulation output and production of quality products produced in a safe manner. Identify operational issues and partner with supervisors and employees to implement solutions - 50%
  3. Lead and assist in mixer setup, changeovers, testing and all functions within department. Fill in as needed - 25%
  4. Conduct quality checks to ensure product meets specifications - 25%
  5. Utilize factory software to improve department metrics - Ongoing
  6. Handle material and equipment issues as they arise - Ongoing
  7. Requisition material required to meet production goals - Ongoing
  8. Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor - Ongoing
  9. Must be able to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary - Ongoing
  10. Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements - Ongoing
  11. Other activities and duties as assigned - Ongoing

  1. None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM WORK:

  1. Education: Education: High School Diploma/GED Strongly Preferred
  2. Certifications: None
  3. Experience: One to three years related experience and/or training
  4. Understand processing equipment and manufacturing flows
  5. Ability to follow schedules and plan out work
  6. Ability to use computer software to assist in manufacturing and labor tracking
  7. Must be creative in finding solutions to obstacles
  8. Ability to work with minimal supervision
  9. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language
  10. Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  11. Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Bending/stooping; kneeling 20-50%; Crouching 5%; twisting 50-80%

Use of upper/lower extremities: Fine Manipulation/Fingering 100%

Grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, reaching (shoulder height or below) 80-100%

Potential Hazards: Hazards associated with working in a food manufacturing facility

Protective clothing or personal devices required: Smocks, protective gloves, goggles, safety glasses, face shield, hearing protection, bump caps and/or hard hats and any other personal protective equipment (PPE) as deemed necessary to perform the job safely
