**Job Summary**:
The Lead Informaticist will report to and provide leadership support to the Senior Director of Digital Transformation at Lowell CHC. They will manage and provide oversight of IS team and deliver on high visibility, strategic project(s) that span across one or more business units across the health center. Demonstrate excellent leadership to uphold organizational priorities and goals, encourage IS team productivity and maintain a positive working environment.

**Responsibilities**:
Collaborate with leaders across other teams to gain a deep understanding of end user EMR workflows, assess pain points and provide guidance and recommendations.

Acts as a lead to the IS staff by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, coaching, counseling, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Manage development of end user requirements, system design, project plans, staffing requirements and milestones for system enhancements and development.

Maintains effectiveness and efficiency by delivering and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies across the Health Center.

Recommends strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization EMR adoption KPIs, identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

Manage development of enhancement and develop specifications for programming by internal/external resources.

Manage all aspects of system(s) maintenance including: EMR software upgrades, database maintenance, end user support, trouble shooting, auditing systems and problem solving.

Maintains areas of responsibilities effectiveness and efficiency by reporting to upper management any performance concerns, defining problems or challenges and unique solutions to problems. Participates in short and long term plans.

If applicable to role, ensures that staff adheres to compliance requirements of the department and/or organization and directs confirmation of this compliance be maintained in the employees files

**Required qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Epic clinical content build certification or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership
- Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs
- Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective
- Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment
- Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
- Experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting preferred
