Having Requirement of a Fiber Design Planner to join our telecommunications Organization. The candidate will be responsible for planning and designing fiber optic networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploying Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network infrastructure nationwide in specific neighborhoods and Fiber-to-the-Business (FTTB).
  • Supporting activities to construct, operate, and maintain the fiber network infrastructure.
  • Develop detailed plans for fiber optic network layouts, including the placement of cables and connection points.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the installation and maintenance of fiber optic systems
  • Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and external vendors to ensure seamless network integration.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple orders and perform under strict deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of computer software systems, utilizing multiple window screens, e-mail, and web-based applications.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in fiber optic design software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic technology, procedures, and equipment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in planning, and surveying.
  • Ability to work with external Planning departments, Project Managers, and Clients.
  • Experience in designing OSP and ISP passive GPON/XGS-PON networks.
  • Ability to develop base maps from various data sets, including GIS, PDF, aerial mapping, and field notes.
  • Experience interpreting Utility (e.g., Water, Sewer, Electrical engineering As-Built designs).
  • Certifications such as Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) are preferred.
