We’re searching for an experienced Sr. Business and Media Analyst to join our rapidly growing team.
Sr. Business and Media Analysts are seasoned data consultants who understand the media industry and the impacts of advertising spend on business KPIs. In this role, you will work directly with Moontide’s Business Intelligence and Media teams in a client-facing capacity. You will be directly responsible for evaluating campaign results against client objectives and presenting key insights internally and to the client. Sr. Business and Media Analysts have mastery of all media channels, digital and traditional, along with a proven track record of understanding and evaluating media performance data.
What You’ll Be Working On…
- Conduct business analysis and research to identify key performance metrics and opportunities for improvement.
- Consult with client stakeholders to determine client business objectives and success factors.
- Collaborate with team members to collect, analyze, and evaluate information from multiple sources (e.g., reporting and analytics, client sales data, external factors, and media plans/results).
- Correlate results and present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior internal and client stakeholders.
- Execute complex ad-hoc post analysis of offers, creative, targeting, segmentation, and messaging.
- Understand, evaluate, and apply various forms of research data to identify actionable media targets and associated targeting strategies.
- Lead, manage, and drive client meetings as a knowledgeable advisor and business analysis expert.
- Work closely with Moontide’s media buyers, data analysts, technology developers, production teams, and other external agency partners.
- Be a thought leader and innovator who brings new ideas to help foster account and agency growth.
- Contribute to the overall well-being of our accounts and the happiness of our clients by developing deep relationships as a trusted advisor and partner.
What We’re Looking For in You...
- 8+ years in a business/media analyst role, preferably within a media agency or consultancy.
- Understanding of both the traditional and digital media process and data.
- 5+ years of experience using BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or LookerStudio.
- Strong analytical skills and background.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable concepts and business insights - ask questions like what did we see, what insights did we find, what do we recommend?
- Strong multi-tasking abilities.
- “Owning It” - which means gracefully solving whatever problems or challenges present themselves along the way, without having to be asked.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work well with team members and independently.
- Seasoned relationship expert with clients and internally within the agency.
- Positive attitude and team player.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines for multiple projects.
- Self-starter with meticulous attention to detail.
- U.S. citizen or legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Sponsorship is not offered.
- Currently live in the Los Angeles area, relocation is not provided.
