Tecstone Granite – based in Columbus OH – is one of the largest Granite Monument wholesalers in the USA. Established in 1987, it has an exciting and strong family culture and sense of passion towards excelling in everything it does.

The Art Department is responsible for marrying customers design expectations with Sandblasting and laser etching capabilities for the purpose of applying decoration and lettering to stone surface. This is a process that has evolved over time from techniques handed down from generation to generation.

 

Essential Functions: 

·         Prepare new orders and schedule to artists for drawing through company systems

·         Monitor status of art schedule and coordinate art drawing/processing of orders to company defined timeframe, communicate any changes to ensure customer requirements are met

·         Interface with customers via Phone or Email to resolve issues

·         Define and implement new scheduling tools and techniques which improve quality and efficiency of Art Order processing

·         Collaborate with colleagues (Art, Sales Support and Production) to ensure Art drawing/proof meets the requirements of Customer and Production

·         Establish and communicate goals and objectives to the team-ensure KPIs are obtained

·         Participate in annual budget process, analyze budget vs actual variances, monitor and approve department expense.

·         Identify new team members and coordinate their on-boarding/training process.

·         Conduct annual reviews for all Art department staff- exception for Laser Etching Manager

·         Participate in management meetings to assist in the achievement of corporate level goals and objectives

·         Analyze internal processes to continually shorten draw time/order processing time while safeguarding accuracy

·         Assist customers with the use of GOLD design tool including the construction of renderings using the system. Management of the GOLD program administration.

 

Knowledge & Experience:                                     

·         10+ years of management experience preferred

·         5+ years of industry experience preferred

·         Ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals

·         Bachelor’s degree in business, Art & Design, or related field preferred

·         MBA preferred

·         Strong layout skills, attention to detail

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

·         Thrive on open and welcomed constructive criticism

·         Familiar with Zoom and Microsoft Teams which are all programs used in staff training

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods of time, must be able to lift items up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday

·         8:00am- 5:00pm or as determined with Direct Report/Production Group Needs
