About the Role

ECBM is looking for a Select Account Manager to join our Select Team This person will report to the Director of Select Business. They will maintain an assigned book of business by building client loyalty through excellence in service. They will manage client's renewals, renewal, and new business paperwork and meet with marketing representatives on Select business appetite and goals. This person will assist, when necessary, with new business opportunities by supporting firm's cross selling and account rounding efforts and seeking referrals from existing clients.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Sustain and enhance customer's relationship with ECBM.
  2. Respond to all customer needs with accuracy, promptness, and courtesy.
  3. Manage and coordinate renewal process in conjunction with the Producer and/or Account Executive.
  • Control renewal process by developing account retention and growth strategy. Adhere to account renewal timelines and gathering necessary information as outlined in the Select Procedure Manual.
  • Conduct Account Review to determine risks and exposures to loss.
  • Identify cross sell and account rounding opportunities.
  • Utilize carrier quote proposals on any renewal that is not direct/automatically renewed.
  • Prepare paperwork necessary to renew an account including Surplus Lines paperwork/forms as well as assist the client in completing any supplemental application forms.
  • Determine best markets and marketing strategy for customer's coverage and pricing.
  • Negotiate best premium and coverage for customer.
  • Determine best format for renewal proposal.
  • Communicate any account changes or correspondence with the assigned producer. If no assigned producer
  • Provide and update Account Profile on account.

Strategy:

  1. Notify management and producer of potential issues related to coverage, audits, claims, collections, etc.
  2. Provide producer with necessary support to promote firm's growth and retention goals.
  3. Assist all clients, departments or associates when required and requested to maintain firm's relationships and good standing.
  4. Develop relationship with Insurance Markets.

Education & Experience

  • Property Casualty Agent's License required.
  • Insurance experience with a good understanding of commercial insurance policies and coverages.
  • Strong understanding of sales process and ability to influence others is necessary.
  • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good listening skills are required as well as desire to solve problems.
  • Should possess an understanding of negotiation process.
  • Professional Designation is a plus.
