POSITION SUMMARY
Elektrofi is seeking talented individuals to join our company full-time as Associate Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist joining our Analytical Department supporting the development of bespoke compositions for Elektrofi’s novel drug delivery platform. Selected individuals will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of scientists and contribute to a variety of IND-enabling formulations activities in a highly collaborative environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and qualify biochemical and microbiological assays
- Perform characterization and release testing of drug products using qualified methods
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of test results
- Assist with laboratory upkeep and instrument maintenance
- Support technology transfer of biochemistry and microbiology methods to CDMO
- Troubleshoot and resolve testing-related issues
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Stay current with the latest industry developments and regulatory requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, chemistry, biology or a related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in the same fields with 1-2 years of relevant experience (preferred)
- Required: Experience required in performing liquid chromatography (SEC, IEX, ProA, HIC), UV-vis spectroscopy, capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS, cIEF), endotoxin/LAL
- Working knowledge in bioassays and microbiological assays is a plus
- Knowledge in high-throughput (96-well plate) spectroscopic, light scattering and subvisible particulate methods is a plus
- Knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements for biotech and pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable
- Experience with aseptic techniques and sterilization processes is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document experimental work with electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) is a must
- Familiarity with standard office software (MS Office, Teams, SharePoint) is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile and highly collaborative environment is essential
