POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking dedicated professionals to fill the role of Associate Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist within our Analytical Department. This position involves supporting the development of tailored formulations for Elektrofi's cutting-edge drug delivery platform. The selected candidates will become integral members of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, contributing to various IND-enabling formulation activities in a collaborative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and validate biochemical and microbiological assays
  • Conduct characterization and release testing of drug products utilizing established methods
  • Ensure meticulous documentation and record-keeping of test outcomes
  • Assist in maintaining laboratory standards and instrument functionality
  • Facilitate the transfer of biochemistry and microbiology methodologies to contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMO)
  • Identify and resolve issues related to testing
  • Engage in internal and external audit processes
  • Stay informed on the latest industry trends and regulatory standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or a related discipline with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in the same fields with 1-2 years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Required: Proficiency in liquid chromatography (SEC, IEX, ProA, HIC), UV-vis spectroscopy, capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS, cIEF), and endotoxin/LAL testing
  • Familiarity with bioassays and microbiological assays is advantageous
  • Knowledge of high-throughput (96-well plate) spectroscopic, light scattering, and subvisible particulate methodologies is a plus
  • Understanding of cGMP, GLP, and regulatory frameworks for the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors is highly desirable
  • Experience with aseptic techniques and sterilization methods is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in documenting experimental work using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) is essential
  • Proficient in standard office software (MS Office, Teams, SharePoint) is required
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment is crucial
