We accept insured and uninsured patients with affordable, low-cost or no cost services.



MCPC Financial Aid Navigator facilitates the enrollment of patients in health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace


Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist patients in enrolling and re-enrolling during open enrollment and special enrollment periods in the Health Insurance Marketplace.

  • Explain insurance benefits to patients

  • Stay informed on policies, procedures, regulations, and updates regarding the Health Insurance Marketplace.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, including consent forms, applications, and statistics.

  • Enroll patients in PAF funds.

  • Assist with the payments process for Marketplace premiums.

  • Reconcile PAF funding the insurance or patient receives.

  • Enroll patients in other funding assistance as needed.

  • Coordinate with other departments, outside entities, staff members, etc. to ensure patient needs are met and issues involving their fills are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Assist with Gilead PAP enrollment and re-enrollment processes.

  • Communicate with patients clearly, effectively with empathy, integrity, and accuracy.

  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisors.







Qualifications


  • Must work effectively with physicians, staff, volunteers, patients, public and external agencies

  • Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets spreadsheets

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals regardless of age, gender, race, religious background, sexual orientation, gender identity, or health status

  • Customer Service experience

  • Must have the ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment,

  • Possess decision-making and problem solving expertise.

  • Must remain receptive to changing responsibilities and maintain a high level of confidentiality and privacy according to the clinic’s policies and procedures and HIPAA compliance
