Position: Commercial Lending Assistant

Type: Regular Full Time Hourly (eligible for overtime). On site.

Hours: 8-5 Monday-Friday (1-hour lunch) or 8:30-5 Monday-Friday (30-minute lunch)

The Commercial Lending Assistant assists commercial lenders, as assigned, to document and monitor loans which meet or exceed established Bank standards. Performs a variety of tasks at all levels of the loan-making process, including performing administrative and customer service functions, as directed. Responsible for gathering, assembling and preparing information and documentation for commercial loans.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Previous banking experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of commercial lending assistant experience preferred, but not required.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently prepares written correspondence, emails, and other documents from written or verbal instructions for loan officers as assigned.
  • Requests and tracks file documentation for new transactions and ongoing renewals,
  • Assembles, prepares, and maintains loan files in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Prepares necessary loan documentation for a variety of commercial loan transactions. May meet with customers to sign loan documents as directed by a commercial lender.
  • As a member of the Credit Administration Group, actively identifies customer needs and preferences and communicates observations to the Group.
  • Fully understands all Bank products, communicates appropriately with customers about products, and makes appropriate referrals to co-workers.
