Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Description:The Quality Director is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all aspects of organizational quality. The Quality Director will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies such as the Joint Commission, CMS, and the State of New Mexico, as well as managing Disease Specific Certification, Leap Frog initiatives, Patient Satisfaction, public reporting, and National Quality Designation. The incumbent will lead a team, managing, developing, and mentoring staff, while enforcing policies and procedures to maintain high standards of quality across the organization. Additionally, the Quality Director will be accountable for preparing and maintaining accreditation, as well as managing the Quality budget and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Direct all aspects of organizational quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and quality standards.
  2. Manage Disease Specific Certification, Leap Frog initiatives, Patient Satisfaction, public reporting, and National Quality Designation processes.
  3. Lead, develop, and mentor staff within the Quality department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  4. Enforce policies and procedures to maintain high standards of quality and patient care.
  5. Prepare and maintain accreditation, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Manage the Quality budget and productivity, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  7. Oversee Infection Prevention efforts, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to minimize healthcare-associated infections.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement initiatives and drive organizational excellence.
  9. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in quality management, incorporating relevant changes into organizational processes.
  10. Represent the organization in quality-related matters, fostering positive relationships with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; MSN, Healthcare Administration, and MBA strongly preferred.
  • Current NM RN license.
  • Seven years of healthcare experience with at least three years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, program development, budget management, and clinical experience.
  • Strong human relations and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
