Position Summary: The CAD Drafter provides design and drafting support to the manufacturing and sales departments. They also collaborate with other staff on the product design, research, development, and marketing to create highly functional products or services that are profitable and meet user needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Sales to provide drawings for approval, change orders, and design requirements.
- Applies practical dimensioning and tolerance techniques based upon form, fit, and function.
- Provide factory panel drawings as per Arctic’s specifications.
- Thoroughly checks design and dimensioning of all drawings. High light any errors and fix.
- Assists with software up-grades to facilitate manufacturing operation or improve quality of product.
- Maintain CAD drawings and associated files in the data management system.
- Incorporates templates to speed design issues and builds cost reduction into product design.
- Investigate change orders thoroughly to make design/drawing modifications.
- Coordination with design team to ensure daily workload is complete and conforms to company standards.
- Accurately design and draft 2D drawings from customer’s quote and architectural drawings for customer approval, following drawing standards
- Interpret customer sketches, drawings, and specifications to create a layout and detailed drawings of walk-in coolers and freezers
- Provide accurate, easy-to-understand, neat drawings that create a sense of professionalism and confidence with customers
- Maintains proper communication and Quality Assurance of new and revised prints
- Other duties assigned as needed
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Design experience is essential, as well as strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
- Experience with AUTOCAD is required
- Proficient in MS Office Suite products
- Technical Capacity
- Communication proficiency
- Ability to multi-task
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in CAD Design or Architecture- required
- Bachelor's degree in CAD design or architecture- preferred
- 3+ years of drafting experience using AutoCAD

Language, Physical, and Travel Requirements:
- Excellent proficiency in spoke and written English is required

- occasionally lifting weights of up to 25 pounds
- Located in daily commutable proximity to our Corporate Headquarters and Manufacturing center in Medley, Florida
This is a full time in office position and remote work or flex-work is not allowed
