Day to Day

A small - midsized engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in kitchen equipment is looking for an entry to mid-level CAD Designer to join their Engineering team. The position will be on a team of 4 with the goal of modifying existing designs based on client standards to make sure the end product fits the space in their commercial kitchen. Responsibilities include 85% modification of drawings in AutoCAD based on blocks, and 15% drawing equipment from scratch in Inventor. The Drafter will also need to modify the cut sheets in excel for use in manufacturing. The hours are 6:45am - 3:15pm and is a 6 month contract to hire, which will convert to permanent in 6 months.


The company offers on the job training and room for advancement into more complex design work, as well as machine programming and growth into a managerial level role.


Must Have

Experience in AutoCAD using block manipulation for mechanical drawings

Experience in manufacturing or food service industries


Plusses

Experience using Autodesk Inventor6 month contract to hire
