Mountain Alarm Fire and Security is currently hiring for a Service Technician in our Lakewood, Colorado branch.
Position Summary:
Service Technicians are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler and/or suppression fire alarm systems. Technicians will be working with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducting service calls for commercial customers.
- System testing and inspecting to the prescribed NFPA standards.
- Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers fire protection and suppression equipment.
- Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports.
- Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication.
- Be part of an on-call rotation
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on and off-site.
- Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools.
- Has excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Dress in appropriate attire.
- Acts in a professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Required Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED
- CSA Certification/Denver Journeymen Card
- NICET 1 or higher
- Ability to work with small tools and parts.
- Ability to install, inspect, program, or service fire alarm, fire suppression, and or fire sprinkler systems.
- Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must read and speak English
- Strong Time Management Skills
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
- Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
Experience:
- 2+ years prior experience in inspections, field service, and/or fire alarm installation preferred.
