The Loader/Unloader is responsible for accurately selecting products from the warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring that orders are completed efficiently and correctly. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and comprehend order forms, work orders, and other instructions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Locate and select products based on order specifications using handheld scanners or other technology.
Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit.
Label packages with shipping information and ensure they are correctly addressed.
Prepare shipping documents and ensure all necessary paperwork is included.
Maintain accurate records of items selected and packed.
Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
Assist with stock replenishment and organization of the warehouse.
Inspect products for defects and report any issues to the supervisor.
Ensure that all orders meet company quality standards before shipment.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and responsibly.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to resolve any issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required. We’re happy to train the right candidates who are eager to learn and grow with us.
Ensure all inventory is counted and handled with precision. Accuracy in your work helps prevent errors and keeps our inventory system reliable.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic computer skills for inventory management and shipping documentation.
