Midtown NFP is looking for a temp to perm Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the payroll.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll related communications, including audit requests, and reporting in a timely manner
  • Manage timekeeping policies and protocols, including electronic / manual timesheet calculation and review with approval
  • Resolve payroll errors, Support PTO and benefits tracking
  • Maintain all payroll-related records and documents
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Semi-monthly payrolls, including entering payroll changes and verifying the accuracy of all data prior to submission for all company entities, including garnishments and levies,
  • Develop strong controls and procedures to ensure accurate and timely payroll for all pay companies, including receipt of all data required to process payroll
  • Manage relationship with Payroll Service Provider to ensure successful implementation of requested changes and enhancements
  • Support year-end payroll closing procedures
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local government regulations and reporting requirements that affect payroll processing
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written

Requirements:

· 2+ years’ of payroll experience required,

· Processing multiple companies simultaneously with an understanding of Payroll best practices

· Experience with UKG, UltiPro or Kronos preferred, with strong reporting skills

· Excel skills including VLookUp and Pivot Tables

· Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
