We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our family practice in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. This full-time role involves a variety of front and back office responsibilities in a supportive environment.Why Join Us:

  • Monday through Friday Schedule
Key Responsibilities:Front Office Duties:
  • Patient Reception & Communication: Greet patients, check them in, and handle phone calls and emails.
  • Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Insurance & Billing: Verify insurance, process pre-authorizations, and assist with billing.
Back Office Duties:
  • Clinical Support: Assist with patient exams, take vital signs, and prepare patients for procedures.
  • Lab Work: Perform basic lab tests, collect specimens, and manage lab results.
  • Medical Documentation: Update patient records, manage EMR entries, and assist with charting.
  • Phlebotomy & Vaccines: Proficient in blood draws and administering vaccines.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Skills: Proficient in phlebotomy and injections, strong communication, and organizational skills.
  • EMR Proficiency: Experience with ECW is preferred.
