JOB SUMMARY

The Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Supervisor is a mid-level leadership position that assists with the day-to-day administrative operations and clinical oversight of Vita Nova Inc's (VNI's) PSH programs and services. Essential duties include but are not limited to overseeing and tracking performance of assigned team members, developing and implementing processes and procedures to achieve established program outcomes, and ensuring compliance with all program protocols and relevant local, state, and federal regulations. The Supervisor will assist the Director of Housing in the preparation and submission of program reports in accordance with all grants, contracts, and agency strategic plan requirements, or as otherwise requested by VNI leadership.

The Supervisor must be social justice oriented with a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging practices, have a background in mental health, and a strong understanding of case management and the homeless services system. The Supervisor collaborates with Directors across programs to build a healthy, cohesive team culture that embraces and reflects VNI's mission, vision, and the Vita Nova Way. The Supervisor works onsite, primarily at the Spot, with the ability to travel to and from other VNI campus and client locations frequently. The Supervisor must be available weekdays 9am-5pm with some evening and weekend work required to meet the needs of the agency, including oversight of the team for after-hours on-call support.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with day-to-day management and oversight of the administrative, programmatic, and clinical operations for the Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) programs and services.
  • Provide ongoing administrative guidance and clinical supervision to assigned team members.
  • Direct Housing Case Managers in the execution of client assessments to identify risk and the development and implementation of case plans to reflect client-identified goals, address barriers, enhance safety, and promote purpose-driven progress and stability through therapeutic, educational, recreational, and prosocial activities.
  • Oversee Housing Specialist to maintain relationships with landlords, advocate on behalf of clients where appropriate, and ensure satisfactory completion of unit inspections.
  • Ensure clear and professional boundaries are maintained across the team to emphasize supportive service delivery that promotes self-sufficiency.
  • Direct and coordinate the development and delivery of innovative life skills training and case management supportive services in accordance with clients' needs, capabilities, and interests.
  • Incorporate trauma informed practices, positive youth development, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction principles in youth service delivery.
  • Support assigned team members in maintaining timely and accurate documentation in HMIS and any internal data reporting systems, including program admissions and exits.
  • Conduct ongoing case file reviews to ensure program compliance and quality service delivery, monitor participant progress, and support team members in addressing any concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with all contract requirements, agency policies and procedures, and other relevant rules and regulations, including PBC program standards and Housing First protocols.
  • Collaborate with Housing and Spot Leadership in the facilitation of case staffings and other check-ins to identify client referrals, monitor program outcomes, and address any issues.
  • Implement systems that allow youth voice to inform program development and service delivery.
  • Review and analyze program data and outcomes, maintain internal data tracking, and prepare reports as required for grants and contracts, or as otherwise requested by VNI Leadership.
  • Assist with submission of timely and accurate financial records and reports in compliance with agency financial policies and procedures.
  • Deliver training and engage in professional development to stay current with industry best practices.
  • Provide coaching, complete timely performance evaluations, and institute appropriate disciplinary actions as needed to maintain a healthy team dynamic and promote retention.
  • Participate in the recruiting, selection, and onboarding process for new team members.
  • Represent VNI in the community by actively participating in committees, CoC meetings, and development activities to create awareness and secure resources for youth.
  • Identify, build, and maintain stakeholder relationships that benefit VNI services and support youth.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in social work or mental health counseling required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in youth programming, mental health, and/or homelessness services, preferably in a human services/housing non-profit organization.
  • Working knowledge of youth development, trauma-informed care principles, and harm reduction interventions. Comfortable using and supervising staff in motivational interviewing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with excellent written communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.
  • Valid Florida driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to be added to VNI insurance policy.
  • Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background check and drug screen.
  • Working knowledge of CMIS Data Standards, Housing First, and PSH program standards preferred.

  • Requires physical mobility with or without accommodation to perform essential job functions.
  • Occasional lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to drive an automobile, mini-van, and large passenger van.
