Structural Work Station Coordinator

Location: Houma, LA

Position Overview: The Structural Work Station Coordinator is responsible for tracking project progress, identifying project issues, coordinating project scope changes and contingency plans, and keeping station supervisors informed of project status. The ideal candidate will have experience in using BERT, BCS, and NAVIS programs, and possess applicable experience in resource planning and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track progress on projects, including budgeted man-hours, labor, and other resources.
  • Identify project issues and coordinate project scope changes and contingency plans.
  • Keep station supervisors continually informed of project status.
  • Utilize BERT, BCS, and NAVIS programs to manage and monitor projects.
  • Apply knowledge of shipbuilding activities, standard marine practices, and general specifications for construction/repair.
  • Communicate effectively with other supervisors and team members.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of the work being performed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in using BERT, BCS, and NAVIS programs.
  • Applicable experience in resource planning and scheduling.
  • Basic knowledge of shipbuilding activities and standard marine practices.
  • Familiarity with general specifications for construction and repair.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with other supervisors.
