PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Achieving Reunification Center (ARC), a non-profit entity, has served parents or legal caregivers with children placed in an out of home placement through the Department of Human Services since 2005. The vision of Achieving Reunification Center (ARC) is that all families with children in out-of-home placement have resources and support provided to them to achieve timely reunification.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Engagement Supervisor is responsible for planning and coordinating outreach visits and events to promote ARC services as well as supervising a team of Community Engagement Specialists (CES). As a supervisor to the CES Team, the Community Engagement Supervisor will oversee their engagement with the public and with new ARC referrals. This includes ensuring and managing the timely outreach of referral from CUA and approving and submitting closings. The Community Engagement Supervisor will ensure that CESs are delivering the correct message about ARC and that all parents are engaged according to the ARC engagement process. The Community Engagement Supervisor will develop relationships with various community agencies and partner organizations and coordinating all aspects of partner presentations and events. This includes scheduling, speakers/topics, materials and advertising. Additionally, the responsibilities will include facilitating weekly orientation for newly enrolled parents as well as facilitating opportunities for parents whose cases have been closed due to goal completion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of community engagement specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure effective outreach and engagement processes.
- Identify agencies and groups in the community who could benefit from understanding the work of ARC and plan, coordinate and organize presentations both in-person and online
- Represent the agency at stakeholder and partner meetings, fostering strong relationships and collaboration with external organizations.
- Collaborate with the team to strategize and plan community engagement initiatives and special events both in-office and at partner locations.
- Oversee the team's efforts to engage potential new participants at partner locations, effectively communicating the agency's mission and services.
- Monitor and ensure that all new ARC referrals are contacted and engaged according to ARC’s timeline and process.
- Approve and submit ARC Engagement Closing Summaries, ensuring adequate communication to CUA along the referral journey.
- Facilitate the enrollment process for new participants on an as-needed basis at partner locations, ensuring smooth transitions into program participation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community and parent referral engagement strategies, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outreach efforts and achieve program goals.
- Assist in providing individual and group staff development and trainings around engagement..
- Provide weekly orientations for parents who are newly enrolled or reenrolled regarding how to access services at ARC and how to obtain their goals along the ARC journey
- Provide and manage opportunities for alumni parents to support ARC
- Provide monthly reporting for all community engagement activities and new referral engagement
- Manage a database of contacts
- Aid in developing materials necessary to execute community engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BA/BS or Associates Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or related field required. A combination of a Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or related field, substantial case management and supervisory experience will be considered.
- A minimum of three years of case management or similar experience
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of ARC staff, partners, funders and the public.
- Ability to relate effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds.
- Ability to promote a positive and professional image and present information effectively before large and small audiences
- Knowledge of Philadelphia Department of Human Services and Community Umbrella agencies preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgment and initiative.
- Strong written, analytical, organizational, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with ability to effectively manage time and respond to deadlines.
- Ability to work in an evolving organizational environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel to alternative worksite locations (CUA, Family Court, community location)
- Ability to work evenings and Saturdays.
