Job Title and Overview

The Warehouse Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, including receiving, organizing, maintaining, and preparing rental equipment for delivery and pickup. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Working Conditions

Must stand for long periods of time. Most work will be in general warehouse conditions, in which some work areas will not be heated or air conditioned. Exposure to above average temperatures is prevalent. The typical tools (crates, dollies, racks, etc.) can be considered hazards. Most mechanical equipment used are electrical and may be gas fired. The exposure to moving belts is possible in some departments. May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, and cleaning solvents. Propane is an obvious hazard; hence a sense of smell is required.

Tasks & Activities

Receive and Inspect Equipment: Receive incoming shipments of rental equipment, conduct thorough inspections for damage or defects, and accurately document inventory levels.

Organize Warehouse: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse space by properly storing equipment, arranging inventory shelves, and optimizing space utilization.

Prepare Equipment for Rental: Assemble, clean, and prepare rental equipment according to company standards, ensuring that all items are in excellent condition and ready for customer use.

Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on rental equipment to ensure functionality and appearance meet company standards. Repair or replace damaged items as needed.

Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading rental equipment into customer vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transport.

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and update inventory records using our management system. Notify management of any discrepancies or low stock levels.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients who visit the warehouse for equipment pickups or returns. Assist with answering customer inquiries.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Follow proper procedures for handling and storing equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.

Education, Skills & Requirements

1.     High school diploma or equivalent.

2.     Prior experience in a warehouse or similar setting preferred.

3.     Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

4.     Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

5.     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6.     Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.

7.     Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and perform physical tasks as required.

8.     Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed, especially during peak event seasons.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $15.00/hour.
