Director of Marketing and E-Commerce Job Summary:

Responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic marketing and ecommerce initiatives to drive revenue growth and enhance brand recognition across all marketing channels. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns, as well as managing the ecommerce platform to maximize online sales and customer engagement.

  • Meet or exceed the expectations of our customers by providing a positive customer experience.
  • Effectively lead, manage, and direct marketing department members.
  • Develop the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics, and resources necessary to achieve goals in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Manage ecommerce P&L to drive profitable growth and achieve annual financial goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and managing expenses while increasing revenue and margins.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive online sales, improve the customer shopping experience, and maximize profitability through digital channels.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of the ecommerce platform to ensure a seamless and user-friendly online shopping experience.
  • Prepare the annual marketing and ecommerce budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure they stay within or below the allocated budgets.
  • Prepare presentations to explain the Company's current and future marketing and ecommerce strategies.
  • Raise the levels of customer acquisition and retention, lead generation/new business development, segmentation strategies, and marketing communications.
  • Partner with management team to ensure the best possible service and effective communications to Company and its customers.
  • Develop and manage vendor partner strategies and programs and provide marketing materials to support sales team.
  • Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities to analyze performance, provide staff with regular reports and updates, and implement improvements as needed.
  • Research, develop, and implement effective marketing programs and branding across all divisions, departments, and locations.
  • Coordinate all advertising, promotions, public relations, branding, and events opportunities through various mediums, including but not limited to printed materials, exhibits, website, direct mail, digital marketing, and social media.
  • Maintain company social media presence.
  • Educate customers and potential customers about the company, our products, and our value-added services.
  • Coordinate use of sales and marketing co-op funds.
  • Coordinate customer satisfaction surveys and work with management to create and implement action plans based on the results.
  • Work closely with key customers to provide insights to drive performance.
  • Work closely with the IT department to ensure messaging is consistent with overall marketing and communication objectives, such as the company website, ERP, and forms.
  • Research and benchmark marketing initiatives of other companies in the industry.
  • Curate content, edit, and publish the company newsletter, ensuring effective communication to internal associates and other intended audiences.
  • Responsible for maintaining company photos and digital images archives.
  • Assist the Human Resources department with marketing and branding initiatives for employees and potential recruits.
  • Create and maintain marketing and ecommerce standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Works safely.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to hiring and retention, performance reviews, training and development, and discipline.

  • Directly supervises all marketing department staff
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of marketing concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Eclipse.
  • Working knowledge of various marketing software, websites, apps, and social media.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Effective leadership, management, marketing, interpersonal, communication, selling, customer service, negotiation, problem solving, strategic planning, organizational, planning, judgement, and stress management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines and easily adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain professional image as a representative of the company.
  • Effective presentation skills to both large and small groups using various mediums.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently, including overnight.
  • Ability to interpret trends, define problems, conceptualize solutions, and convert to practical applications.
  • Creativity, resourcefulness, and the use of original ideas.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Strong writing skills and effective editing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively write reports and communicate data through correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with or without using a calculator.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field; or
  • Ten years of related experience and training; or
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education.

Certifications and/or Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
