SUMMARY: Warehouse Leads guide the warehouse team through example and direction to accomplish all warehouse activities and operations as directed by operations manager. Performs functions of warehouse job with an exceptional degree of responsibility and with additional oversight of other employees’ work to ensure procedural and safety standards are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Helps direct workflow of warehouse crew to accomplish objectives set by Operations Manager, ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with safety and quality procedures.

· Acts as go-to for other warehouse employees regarding procedural questions.

· Sets the tone and serves as an example for other warehouse employees, performing over and above duties outlined in Warehouse Job Description.

· Oversees non-conformance/customer property/vendor property area.

· Manages warranty claims from truck lines.

· Ensures documentation for in- and outbound shipments is handled according to procedure and maintains orderly files.

· Ensures sufficient levels of material inventory such as boxes and padding.

· Ensures a safe, orderly, and clean working environment in all warehouse areas.
· Assists counter sales customers with excellent service.

· Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.

· Reports any issues, including employee issues, promptly to Ops Manager.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· No supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent and one to two years of related experience

· Attention to detail and following proper procedures.

· Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices.

· Commitment to excellence and high standards.

· Good oral communication skills.

· Ability to manage priorities and workflow.

· Computer proficiency, working with MS Apps and ERPs.

· Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.

· Ability to effectively communicate with people from various backgrounds.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Continually required to stand

· Continually required to walk

· Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity

· Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl

· Frequently required to talk or hear

· Frequently required to utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, and/or use a keyboard

· Occasionally required to lift/push/carry up to 50 pounds

· Frequently required to lift/push/carry less than 25 pounds

· Occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts

· Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: forklift, hose cut-off saw, crimper
