POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in steering the warehouse team through exemplary leadership and guidance to fulfill all operational tasks as outlined by the Operations Manager. This position entails performing warehouse duties with a high level of accountability while overseeing the work of other team members to ensure compliance with safety and procedural standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs the workflow of the warehouse team to meet objectives set by the Operations Manager, ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols.
  • Acts as a primary resource for team members regarding procedural inquiries.
  • Sets a positive example for the warehouse staff by exceeding the expectations outlined in the standard warehouse job description.
  • Manages areas related to non-conformance, customer property, and vendor property.
  • Handles warranty claims from transportation providers.
  • Ensures that documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments is processed according to established procedures and maintains organized records.
  • Monitors inventory levels of essential materials such as packaging supplies.
  • Maintains a safe, organized, and clean working environment throughout all warehouse areas.
  • Provides exceptional service to counter sales customers.
  • Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous operational improvement.
  • Reports any issues, including personnel matters, promptly to the Operations Manager.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with one to two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.
  • Knowledge of best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Commitment to high standards and excellence.
  • Effective oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow efficiently.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Understanding of safety requirements and protocols.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
