POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in steering the warehouse team by providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful execution of all warehouse tasks as outlined by the Operations Manager. This position demands a high level of responsibility, coupled with the oversight of team members' activities to guarantee adherence to procedural and safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs the workflow of the warehouse team to meet objectives established by the Operations Manager, ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols.
  • Acts as a primary resource for team members regarding procedural inquiries.
  • Sets a positive example for the warehouse staff by exceeding the standard duties outlined in the Warehouse Job Description.
  • Oversees areas related to non-conformance, customer property, and vendor property.
  • Manages warranty claims associated with transportation services.
  • Ensures that documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments is processed according to established procedures and maintains organized records.
  • Monitors inventory levels of materials such as boxes and protective padding.
  • Maintains a safe, organized, and clean working environment across all warehouse sections.
  • Provides exceptional service to counter sales customers.
  • Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for ongoing improvement.
  • Reports any issues, including those related to personnel, promptly to the Operations Manager.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY ROLE:

No direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with one to two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.
  • Familiarity with best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Commitment to excellence and maintaining high standards.
  • Effective oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow efficiently.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Understanding of safety requirements and protocols.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly required to stand and walk.
  • Frequently utilizes hand and finger dexterity.
  • Occasionally climbs, balances, bends, stoops, kneels, or crawls.
  • Frequently communicates verbally and utilizes visual acuity for equipment operation and keyboard use.
  • Occasionally lifts, pushes, or carries up to 50 pounds; frequently lifts, pushes, or carries less than 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
