POSITION SUMMARY:

The AYCC is looking for Wellness Center Representatives Assist members with exercise equipment, monitor the wellness area, conduct wellness tours of the facility, and introduce our array of health and wellness opportunities that the AYCC offers to members. If you enjoy going to the gym, now you can get paid for being there Join the AYCC team, and become a Wellness Center Representative today Benefits include paid time off, a free AYCC Family Membership, the possibility of FREE or reduced childcare, and a 403(b) retirement plan if you work at least 20 hours. You also receive additional welfare benefits if you work 30 hours per week, such as health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, vision insurance, and short term and long term disability.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Greet the public, answer the telephone, respond to inquiries and provide accurate program information in a positive, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful manner at all times (e.g. personal training offerings/rates, group fitness class schedule, etc.).
  • Understand and demonstrate how to set up and use exercise equipment.
  • Monitor members to ensure they are using the exercise equipment correctly.
  • Set-up on-line classes, assist members with on-line classes, verify member ID codes, etc. using AYCC selected on-line systems.
  • Monitor the cameras for any unusual behaviors or activities.
  • Housekeeping responsibilities including cleaning equipment, sweeping/mopping floors, dusting, etc.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies for members to use on equipment.
  • Relate to and be able to communicate well with children and adults and maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Help ensure a healthy and safe working and visiting environment at all times.
  • Provide strong customer service to members and the public.


Requirements:

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Positive customer relations.
  • Passionate for overall wellness.
  • Ability to learn and understand wellness equipment and how it is used safely
  • Ability to teach through demonstration

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • HS diploma or equivalent or in progress
  • Associate’s Degree in business, administration, or hospitality or other related field preferred.
  • Certified in CPR/AED or ability to become certified.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years related experience in customer service preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a health facility is beneficial.

WORK SCEHDULE: Schedule may vary. Daytime, evening, and weekend work hours may be necessary.

PAY RATE: $14.50 per hour
