Description of the role:

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory, lot management and organization at Mazda of Columbia. This includes ensuring all vehicles are on ground that are in inventory, properly displayed with stickers, lot organized and merchandised properly, working directly with the new and used car manager to ensure all inventory is ready and lot prepped. The inventory manager also helps assist in getting cars to and from the auction, facilitating drivers for new car locates and auction pick ups.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify any discrepancies or issues, by completing a used car inspection sheet
  • Coordinate with drivers to arrange new and used car pick ups
  • Monitor and update inventory system to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper descriptions
  • Collaborate with new and used car managers to make sure looks merchandised and is shifted monthly 
  • Develop and implement inventory management procedures and strategies to assist the new and used car manager
  • Conduct regular analysis of inventory data to identify trends and make informed decisions
  • Handle any issues or inquiries related to inventory management

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in inventory management or a related field
  • Proficient in inventory management systems and software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and suppliers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of automotive industry and parts is a plus
