About the Position:
The Director of Finance for Operations is a transformational leader and key business partner working closely with the VP of Operations to drive critical operations initiatives and programs focused on productivity/efficiency, cost reduction (freight, warehousing, manufacturing), product cost reductions and overall operations long term strategy. This role will also help drive the integration of acquired entities along with all future acquisitions, ensuring that the business maximizes the synergistic opportunities and implements consistent business practices. This role will report directly to the CFO LVA and will leverage the breadth of the finance and operations organization to deliver results. There will be strong bias for action and measurable results reflected in the P&L. This role will have opportunities to interface with the most senior employees in the company including the CEO, EVP Operations, Group CFO, President of Americas, etc. The successful candidate will work with key business leaders to identify continuous improvement opportunities that lower costs and ultimately lead to a stronger, more profitable business profile. This position reports to the CFO, Land Vehicles Americas and can be located in Rosemont, Illinois or Elkhart, Indiana.

Requirements:

General responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive business analysis, interpretation of trends and recommendations from the monthly variance analysis to recommend appropriate actions to implement continuous improvements to increase EBITA.
  • Develop appropriate financial models and business case analysis to drive manufacturing cost reductions through productivity opportunities, cost out initiatives, cost savings in new products, quality improvements, etc.
  • Demonstrate financial leadership to all parts of the organization, becoming a trusted advisor on financial and business issues.
  • Develop strong communication and partnership with the VP Operations (and their team) to ensure all key trends are communicated accurately and in a timely fashion. Take a lead role in developing the future strategy for LVA Operations.
  • Prepare presentations for leadership meetings and Board presentations to clearly articulate business issues and opportunities to drive changes / improvements.
  • Lead integration of all operations finance at acquired entities within Dometic LVA.
  • Responsible for improving the visibility and integrity of the financial information with close coordination with the Corporate Controller & Director Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for all operations activities including updating standard product cost, production volume assumptions, capex expenditures, productivity, etc.
  • Lead and develop a team of finance professionals ensuring roles are clearly defined, deadlines met, and effective finance support is provided to the business.
  • Complete special projects as needed.


Requirements and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or related area
  • CPA or a master’s degree in business preferred
  • 10+ years of experience with financial reporting and analysis with a strong manufacturing / operations background
  • Experience with BPCS or other AS400 based accounting systems or Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP systems and database reporting programs are a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, manipulating large data sets with Excel – including the use of Pivot Tables, Macros, and other advanced functions
  • Advanced skill level with computer technology and software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) Experience
