Orion Security Solutions (OSS) is looking for a high-integrity individual with an accounting background. We are seeking a detail-oriented STAFF ACCOUNTANT who will support the accounting department by performing standard and non-routine clerical duties in the areas of accounts payable, receivable, and general accounting. This position is located in Edmond, OK, and is not a remote opportunity.


Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Verify all vendor invoices against Purchase Orders and enter them into the system. If there is no purchase order, get internal approval and properly code.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors about billing discrepancies and questions.
  • Review credit card charges against the expense policy and enter them into the systems.
  • Prepare customer invoices as work is performed. Verifying sales tax for various states.
  • Assist with weekly per diem.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and usefulness of accounting records.
  • Work with the internal team to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Prepares ad hoc analysis of accounts, as required.


Minimum qualifications for the position include:

  • Minimum Accounting Associates required preferred B.S. in Accounting and 1-2 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
  • Highly detailed-oriented.
  • Initiative to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a team player with a willingness to handle assigned tasks, whether simple or complex.
  • Excellent customer service skills as they will have direct contact with customers, vendors, internal customers, and regulators.
