At the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA), we provide the factual foundation for data-driven health care interventions. By joining CHIA, you'll help turn health care data into insight by developing compelling content and rollout campaigns that play a pivotal role in evidence-based decision-making.

We are looking to hire a skilled Talend ETL developer to work with the Master Data Management (MDM) and ETL Design team to create new and maintain existing ETL systems.  The developers’ duties will include developing data preparation, analysis, and reporting jobs, performing technical troubleshooting, and providing technical expertise for ETL systems.  The developer will work with multiple database technologies, and scripting languages. • Support the development of data transformation logic using ETL tools or scripting languages like SQL, Bash, Python, etc.
  • Clean, validate, and transform data to conform to target schema and quality standards.
  • Work with the team to execute data quality improvement plans.
  • Participate in troubleshooting activities to maintain data integrity and process efficiency.

Here are the important qualifications we are looking for:

  • Experience with Azure/AWS cloud.
  • Experience with Microsoft DevOps Git Repos.
  • Experience with SQLServer and PostGreSQL database technologies.
  • Able to create/modify tables, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other DB objects.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote, hybrid, or in-person work environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC models.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of HIPAA policies and working with PII and PHI sensitive data.
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively on an IT team with diverse skillsets.
  • Effective at managing competing priorities and can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written, along with excellent documentation skills.
  • Ability to stay well organized, detailed and process oriented when under pressure to meet development deadlines.
