Reports To: Quality Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week, Shift 1 or 2)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Quality Technician I is responsible for conducting detailed inspections on vendor-supplied and in-house manufactured parts, ensuring they meet all specified standards and requirements. Utilizing various inspection tools and techniques, the Quality Technician I verifies compliance with applicable drawings, specifications, and internal protocols. This role requires close collaboration with various departments, vendors, and individual team members to address and resolve quality-related issues. The Quality Technician I also plays a key role in continuous improvement initiatives, helping to identify and rectify material and process non-conformances, thus ensuring that only the highest quality products are delivered to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Professionalism: Consistently work in a safe and courteous manner, adhering to all safety protocols.

  • Product Inspections: Perform detailed inspections of incoming and in-process materials to ensure conformity to specifications.

  • Calibration: Conduct regular calibration of inspection tools and equipment.

  • Non-Conformance Resolution: Assist in identifying, documenting, and resolving material and process non-conformities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality and mitigate risks.

  • Quality Advocacy: Actively promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.

  • Team Meetings: Attend and contribute to Quality department meetings as scheduled.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Attention to Detail: Maintain accurate records and ensure all inspections are thoroughly documented.

  • Multitasking: Efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Manufacturing Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Quality Control: Familiarity with quality control processes, data analysis, and relevant standards.

  • Procedural Adherence: Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of using various measurement and inspection tools.
