Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

The Quality Support Technician is responsible for maintaining the color master program and supporting Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) and inspection methods. In addition to maintaining current inspection methods, this role is responsible to supporting new Quality projects. The Quality Support Technician maintains the first piece database under direction of a Quality Engineer.

YOUR ROLE
  • Support R&D trials for new product development and improvements
  • Maintain FPI database
  • Update FPI documents for new and revised products
  • Maintain inventory of Master color samples and working standards
  • Under direction of Engineers, update work instructions and train others on product and process inspections
Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 - 4 years' experience in plastic extrusion operations or technical role
  • Moderate proficiency with database systems
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Extrusion Operation and/or Maintenance experience
  • Experience with documented problem solving events
  • Experience with gages and test equipment
  • American Society of Quality Certified Quality Technician or related
  • Experience with Excel VBA
