Description:
We are seeking a Technical Writer 2 to join our team. The Technical Writer will be responsible for developing a comprehensive policies and procedures manual documenting the agency's major functions. Key responsibilities include meeting with various divisions within the agency to log and transcribe policies and procedures, creating flowcharts, organizing content logically, designing graphics, and producing the final policies and procedures manual. The role involves revising work based on feedback from agency staff and collaborating under the supervision of agency personnel with moderate independent judgment.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
4 years of experience in mapping policies and procedures for various agency functions.
Ability to develop flowcharts and document policies and procedures in a logical sequence.
Proficiency in creating graphics and compiling policies and procedures manuals.
Terms of Service:
Work Hours and Location:
Services will primarily be provided during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays. The primary work location is at William B. Travis Building, 1701 Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78701.
