We are looking for an Assistant Hotel Manager to join our team and help manage our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, providing guidance and support to staff, and ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed. The Assistant Hotel Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve customer service, increase efficiency, and maximize profits. We are looking for an individual with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to excellence.

Compensation:

$18 to $20 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure exceptional guest service is provided at all times.
  • Manage hotel staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor and analyze hotel performance metrics, such as occupancy rates and revenue, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the hotel manager to develop and implement strategies for increasing revenue and reducing costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Qualifications:
  • Education and/or Experience: Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to communicate verbally in English and read and follow directions in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees in the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to act as manager on duty and handle guest and employee issues.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers including word processing and Excel.
