About the Role:

As a Staff Accountant, you will reconcile accounts, maintain the general ledger, and assist with month-end closing processes. You'll handle Accounts Payable, support audits and file tax forms. Additionally, you'll assist with special projects and ensure compliance with accounting practices.

What You’ll Do

  • Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
  • Reconciles Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and other balance sheet accounts, as needed.
  • Performs general accounting and other related duties.
  • Maintains the general ledger, chart of accounts, and statement format listings.
  • Participates in the department’s month end close process, including completion of reporting schedules and updating corporate reporting systems.
  • Codes and processes Accounts Payable invoices, sets up new vendors, and reconciles vendor statements.
  • Provides auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform audits.
  • Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Assists department with work order and capital expenditure process.
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Prepares and keys journal entries.
  • Assists with customer collections, posts cash to Accounts Receivable, and processes credits/debits to customer accounts.
  • Assists the Accounting/Finance Department with special projects and other departmental requirements, as needed.
  • Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.

Additional Expectation

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience required.
  • Accounting qualification preferred.
  • Good Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ general accounting or other relevant experience required.

  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess and demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Acumen: Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and accounting software.
