Overview:

Providing our clients with exceptional service is the foundation of our business. The Vice President of Marketing and Communications is responsible for designing and executing the strategic direction of Veritext’s marketing and communication efforts, enhancing brand visibility, and driving awareness. This role demands an individual with a strategic mindset, capable of developing and disseminating compelling narratives to a broad audience set, maintaining brand integrity, and leveraging market insights to position Veritext as a thought leader in the industry and with an eye toward influencing its growth trajectory.


What you'll do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Formulate and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that align with Veritext’s goals and amplify our presence in the market.
  • Brand Management: Oversee the strategic management of the Veritext brand, ensuring its evolution to remain relevant and strong in a competitive market. Direct the management and evolution of Veritext’s brand identity to ensure consistency across all platforms and touchpoints.
  • Audience Engagement: Customize communication strategies to effectively connect with diverse audiences, including clients, independent contractors, employees, and investors.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and nurture a team of marketing and communication professionals, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • PR and Media Relations: Spearhead public relations efforts, including the development of key messaging, coordinating with a PR firm to publish articles in legal journals and relevant media, managing media inquiries, and cultivating relationships with key media outlets.
  • Communications: Lead programs, initiatives and culture-building endeavors that strengthen internal communication efforts. Oversee the internal and external websites, develop communications protocols and playbooks, and assist with developing communication platforms that align with the organizational objectives.
  • Market Intelligence/Research: Drive and oversee collection of primary and use of secondary market research to identify trends, understand client perception and needs to inform new products and opportunities. Collaborate with the technology team and product management to refine and enhance Veritext’s value propositions.
  • Event Management: Play a pivotal role in organizing and contributing to various company events, such as the annual sales meeting, philanthropic initiatives (Veritext Cares), Senior/Executive Strategy Sessions and employee engagement programs (e.g. Summer Camp).
  • Acquisitions and Integration: Oversee the communications strategy for acquisitions, ensuring clear and consistent messaging to reporting firm owners (sellers), their clients, independent contractors, and employees to facilitate a smooth transition and alignment with Veritext's culture and operational standards.

Team Leadership:

  • Directly manage a team of professionals providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship; foster a collaborative, inclusive and positive team environment
  • Set clear performance objectives for the team and monitor progress; provide regular feedback and conduct performance evaluations
  • Ensure resources are allocated effectively to maximize productivity while meeting budget
  • Engage in learning and development initiatives that foster growth and development as a people leader (serve as a role model by engaging in organizational initiatives that support L&D)
  • Support organizational initiatives and serve as an ambassador of key business priorities and objectives; translate objectives to individual team
  • Embrace and foster a work environment that supports a safe environment that aligns to Company philosophy regarding workplace violence prevention and safety
  • Incorporate concepts and initiatives that support DEI, Sustainability into external and internal programs


Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with significant leadership experience in a senior marketing role, preferably within the legal services sector.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans that have achieved or exceeded objectives.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing a high-performing marketing team.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating the company’s vision and strategies to a diverse audience.
